Andrew Cominos built a successful sales coaching practice and became known around Brisbane as The Results Guy. Behind the visible success, a toxic relationship, emotional burnout and a declining business were bringing his personal and commercial life to a halt.
The moment he could no longer ignore came on his kitchen floor. Andrew spent three hours with his head in his hands thinking, “This cannot be my life.” He closed the parts of the business he could not sell, sold what he could and stepped away for more than a year.
Choosing Change Before Collapse
Climbing, hiking and time outdoors became part of Andrew’s reset. He lost 30 kilograms and rebuilt the way he thought about performance, responsibility and the life he wanted to create. Project Remarkable grew directly from that period.
“Motivation is fleeting, discipline lingers, but only commitment lasts.”
Andrew is clear that rock bottom should never be the goal. Pain may motivate movement and collapse can force it, but the stronger path is learning to choose change before everything falls apart. Commitment turns ordinary actions — a walk, enough sleep, a few quiet minutes — into a sustainable way of living.
Ethical Selling Starts With The Truth
The conversation also returns to Andrew’s sales roots. His approach is simple: educate people so they can make decisions that meet their own values. Founders often sell well through conviction, but many carry the fear that a “no” is a rejection of them personally.
Separating the offer from personal worth removes much of that charge. The next step is building repeatable sales systems so the founder is no longer the permanent bottleneck.
Become Capable Of Standing On The Summit
Andrew uses climbing as a metaphor for sustainable performance. If you honour the struggle and learn the trail, you become the person capable of standing safely on the summit. A helicopter can get you there faster, but it cannot teach you the footing required to stay.
For business owners carrying personal and commercial pressure, the episode is a grounded conversation about presence, energy, ethical sales and the ordinary actions that make a life remarkable.
